happy belated 4th of jooli everyone. Based on my predicted experience of this weekend... I HATE baby showers. Much in tune with Clark Griswold from the vacation series...I started out trying to be optomistic...yes earlier this week i was dreading it, but when I went shopping to get the baby present (or in reality presents) I couldn't help myself...everything was so cute....don't get mushy...I get the same way shopping for dog toys. except baby crap is WAY more expensive. the shower itself went relatively ok although I did hear horror stories about the hospital and now i never want to set foot in one. my sister's friends are all nurses too....and LOVE discussing work. ew. It was the evening after the baby shower that ruined it for me. after spending SO much money on my sister and carting her big pregnant butt around all day who didn't even deserve it as the only time she talked to me was to invite me to the shower decides to throw a tantrum at my mom's house. As my sister is about to pop and has high blood pressure because of the pregnancy...it took everything I had not let her have it and to leave the room in mid bitch session. I was so completely angry that she had the nerve to be such an ungrateful idiot. And then I get angry at myself for getting my hopes up. arghhhh. at least the next day was drama free and maisy had her 4th birthday. it was a relatively quiet day. I came home the next day though and crashed for a 4 hour nap. There's just never enough time. still working on the portfolio images tho'.
