would you like some cheese with that whine?

I'm whiney this evening. Will Farrell is on the TV in Bewitched...uhm...Talledega Nights was better. Actually, the short he did with the landlord baby was funnier. *sigh* Credit card company actually tried to charge me a freakin fee to pay the card off last month. uhm the point of paying off the card is to pay if off...greedy bastards. chiropractor is now my new best friend. I had so much energy this last weekend. and I will still need more this coming weekend to move all my books for the carpet guys. I love my books until i have to crap like this. ew.

so roughly everything is cool. I really need to stop watching sappy disney movies tho' I can't believe I start crying during chicken little...I'm so irritated at myself sometimes...damn sappy music. arg.

what me, busy??

Congrats to Jeri on her new yob at Packet Video in San Diego. She'll get to smell the star jasmine again at the general atomics building in La Jolla and hopefully will stay away from the cafeteria..*shudder*.

I haven't had time to write lately as I've been still working my butt off....still have a ways to go. I ended up going to a chiropractor tho for my hands...I thought I might have the beginnings of carpal tunnel but luckily after some neck adjustments it was only pinched nerves in my neck causing the arm thing. Not completely cured as of yet though still have a major kink in the back that needs sorting out. going back today for a massage...Yes this is the highlight of my week...shut up.

Sneak peek at the new project...for the kappa alpha theta sorority. Click on the pic to embiggen.

I did seen Harry Potter last week. I was a little lost at times as it's been awhile since i read the book, but it was very dark and Harry is a whiny disturbed like teenager...otherwise annoying. This was the least of my favorites in the series, but the effects were good... can't really bring myself to see transformers...uhm...i can see alot of guys my age flocking to see their old toys in action though and reliving the age of seven...*oh wait* isn't that pretty much how most of them live everyday? *snork* just kidding. Wink I can't wait to get the book on saturday tho...i'm hurrying through my current book so i can start reading it immediately. i'm such a dork.

They're not called Don't-nuts ;)

The Kwik-E-Marts have arrived. Here's a link to see way more simpson's goodness.  I wished there was a kwik-e-mart in my neighborhood. They even have Bart's favorite comic...I have to go do a movie marathon soon. Harry potter, simpsons, evan almighty, the list is growing...

I've picked my carpet. I actually found a very cool carpet yesterday that was created from a new kind of yarn...it was sooooo soft and had several colors in it which made it very pretty, a new kind of backing to resist wear to the point they guaranteed it for 10 years.....all for the measly price of 35.00 a square yard (I believe the carpet guy's exact response to the cost was "CHA-CHING!). ouch. so needless to say didn't go there...maybe in the house I build at some point. I seem to be using this house to test my ultimate house finishings. and this house is the nice but less expensive version. Real house will have gorgeous hardwoods and pretty multi-colored carpet, stainless steel appliances(or maybe the pretty bronze version of appliances I'm seeing in the architectural magazines....) Yes this is a pipe dream, but you know that's why it's fun.

The reality though is I'm getting a nice, densely woven, crush-resistant carpet for less than half of the dream carpet. I find it interesting that they always want to sell you what they have in stock. but ew. the shaggy look is coming back and they've put it in a lot of newer houses and have ordered apparently a buttload of it but for me.. uhm...no. My dogs do not need to be able to have an intimate relationship with the carpeting. Another reason to custom build in my opinion. so I'll have to wait for it...or maybe it's because I have so little carpet left in my house after the wood laminate went in. But it still is very unattractive currently and needs to be dealt with. I will also need to look into purchasing a new camera I'm really kinda missing having one...

pooped...but in a good way

whew...huge productive "catch upon life in general weekend" as I actually had the money to do some things...I found a dresser which is being delivered tomorrow. (whee) I just need to get Dave's book cases disassembled and re-assembled in my office at work...which is proving to be a little difficult. I got about half of it apart this morning tho. I bought curtains. Under cabinet lighting for the kitchen, makeup, just had fun in general. The girls got their teeth done and their hair cut, and I also founf a carpet place who will be putting carpet in as soon as I figure out what I want/can afford. yeah all that in a just a few days. I'm pooped, and so are the girls. I finally paid off my huge ass credit card and now just need to finish pff the small ass ones and I'll be done with stupid credit cards for good...thank goodness.

You say it's your birthday......it's my birthday too!

Today is Maisy's 5th Birthday. *sniff* My little baby is all grown up now. Actually, she really has no idea what day it is but seems to think she should be treated this well every day of her life frankly... I owe quite a bit to this little girl. She got me through some very rough patches during the last five years. She even got a dedication in my thesis. She is my teddy bear, my confidant, and my alarm clock. I never would have finished grad school if it weren't for her need to wake at 6 am every day. I'm so lucky to have such great little dogs. I feel sorry for people who can't relate to them. Today we will be going to Petsmart where Miss Maisy gets to pick out her present. Mia gets one too, but hey more the merrier and we get to do it all over again in December for Mia's birthday. Why not? I love the little things that make life bearable. I know many people live for huge celebrations like graduations, but for me, I will always cherish the small everyday miracles that seem invisible to most. Happy Birthday Maisy!Smile
